Enterprise Range

Why the Enterprise Range?

We’re constantly told that change is a fact of life and organisations must learn to be agile or perish. Whether or not you believe this mantra, it’s now clear that the world is becoming increasingly unpredictable. Each business must understand what this means for them, and find ways to turn it to their advantage.

None of this is news, so it’s surprising that there are so few reliable tools available to help businesses get a grip on change for themselves. This is doubly surprising because our experience, working with diverse organisations in many different sectors, tells us the majority of difficulties around change arise from a relatively small number of common factors including:

  • Poor understanding and articulation of business aims and vision
  • Incomplete understanding of the core business processes that drive business value
  • Lack of integration between IT services and the business processes they are intended to support
  • Poor definition and communication of the rationale and benefits of change

At Procertis we believe it’s a mistake to view change as a one-off exercise that will ‘fix’ your business. We believe it’s a continuous activity embracing both large and small changes, and should be part of the behaviour of your organisation. But this can only happen within a guiding strategic framework that helps you simultaneously address the issues outlined above. Such a framework is provided by the Procertis Enterprise Range.

What’s in the Box?

The Procertis Enterprise Range consists of two fully complementary applications:

BizMaps® measures the ‘AS IS’ maturity of your core enterprise business processes and assesses their current capability to deliver strategic business value. The BizMaps® measurement model also acts as an ideal framework in which to define the desired ‘TO BE’ state and the prioritised transformation plan required to get you there. The model is explicitly linked to the client’s defined strategic business goals and benefits, enabling a clear demonstration of the relationship between process change activities and strategic value generation.

AssessiT® measures the ‘AS IS’ maturity of your IT infrastructure and assesses its capability to support your core value-generating business processes. Because it uses an underlying measurement model structure in common with the BizMaps® product, the ‘TO BE’ state can also be defined within the AssessiT® model, together with a prioritised IT transformation plan. In addition, the model can also be linked directly to strategic goals and benefits, providing a defendable rationale for your IT change program.

Full Integration

Both tools can be used independently to deliver real benefits, but they’ve also been designed to fully integrate with each other to provide a holistic view spanning both business and IT elements of the enterprise. Using this integrated model, it’s possible to define a joined-up enterprise change programme that treats business and IT as two sides of the same coin, and which ensures that both change in step with each other in a program that remains fully aligned with strategic business goals.

High Configurability

At Procertis, we recognise only too well that the strategic goals of an organisation may differ significantly from those of its peers, and can also be expected to change over time. Rigid measurement models find it difficult to cope with a changing world.

The common measurement model structure underlying both BizMaps® and AssessiT® has been constructed to be fully configurable. This means we work with you to build a model that measures the things that are important to your business. We can select from over fifty pre-built measurement parameters, or create new measures to suit your specific purposes.

Accessible Output

We believe that every picture tells a story. One of the key benefits of using Procertis’ tools is their ability to communicate complex ideas in surprisingly simple and accessible visual form. The output from our tools has been designed to enable full engagement by all stakeholders, be they technical or business. We use information-rich but structurally simple graphics to summarise complex data about your organisation.
