Dr Richard Williams – Managing Director

  • The originator and founding Director of Procertis with responsibility for Product and IP Development in both Consulting and Development Divisions.
  • Richard had previously grown and run a small software development house from start-up to acquisition over a 6 year period, during which he successfully instigated the design, development and early sales of a major software product.
  • Following an early career in science research, Richard began in IT 20 years ago as a software engineer, and rapidly graduated through project and programme management to business development and strategic consulting.
  • Richard has experience of IT delivery in a wide range of business sectors as diverse as radio telecommunications to automotive manufacture and retail finance.
  • He has had responsibility for delivery of software programmes worth in excess of £6 million.
  • Richard has a B.Sc in Biology from Birmingham, an M.Sc. In Pure & Applied Systematics from Reading and a Ph.D in Molecular Biology from Warwick. He is also a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London
  • Richard’s current focus is defining the value proposition of our IP products and the benefits they delivers to our existing and future client base.

Gordon Miller – Principal Business Architect

  • Gordon is an experienced business architect with in-depth business modelling and system specification skills.
  • His background has included various consultancy engagements within a number of sectors, including government, finance, logistics and manufacturing, working with clients to resolve key business issues (including the review and development of high-level strategies).
  • Gordon has successfully mentored key staff within government and large organisations on the use of best practice methodologies and tools for large project delivery.
  • Gordon is now directing this experience into defining, building and exploiting consultancy IP products. These include the AssessiT® and BizMaps® Measurement Models, which he has successfully utilised on a number of client engagements and the Clarity IT Sourcing Diagnostic product.

Tony Feeney – Associate

Tony

  • Tony has an IT industry career spanning over 30 years in Support, Operational, Sales, Consultancy, and General Management. He has held a number of Leadership and Director roles in IBM, Gartner, T-Systems, Keane inc. among others and within Europe and the USA. He therefore has an outstanding range of experiences across Service providers and has directly innovated new Service and delivery strategies over the last 15 years for Corporates and SME’s alike.
  • Tony holds an MBA from Warwick Business School; is a fellow of the Institute of the Automotive Industry and is an experienced Industry forum speaker and presenter on a range of IT and business Systems strategy areas.
  • Tony is Founder and CEO of the Integration Executive Limited and works with and within companies across the IT Sector in developing and directing market engagement, sales and partnering/M&A strategies. As well as recently having operated as a Director of Eclipse Group Solutions Limited in this mode, Tony has also teamed up with long time colleagues at Procertis Limited in the development of the Clarity IT Sourcing Diagnostic product.
  • Before acquisition by T-Systems in 2006 Tony was Managing Director of gedas uk ltd, the IT outsourcing arm of Volkswagen AG. Within T-Systems he was Board Director responsible for Sales and Service Management disciplines. In these roles Tony was responsible for all Service Management functions across both Applications and Infrastructure provisioning for these major outsourcing companies in the UK. He left T-Systems at the end of 2007.

Kevin Varney ACMA

  • Kevin is a founding director of Procertis, with responsibility for the day to day management of finance, and the long term structuring of financial support and investor relations
  • He is a founder and Senior Partner of Varney Barfield with 22 years in accountancy practice operating in the corporate market
  • Kevin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

Mary O’Malley – Operations Manager

  • With a degree in Business Administration, Mary is an experienced manager and organiser and takes control of all the day to day operational aspects of the business
  • Her background, which is mainly in HR, Resourcing and Operations, has been gained primarily within the consulting, utilities, service and retail sectors
  • As the first point of contact for Clients and Associates alike, Mary acts as the primary administrator for all Procertis projects and the licensing of our products.

Paul May – Research Associate

  • Paul May consults to organisations in the UK, Europe and US. He has worked in the energy, entertainment, financial services, health, IT services, retail and transport sectors
  • He is author of the bestselling Business of Ecommerce (Cambridge), and its follow-up Mobile Commerce (Cambridge). He co-wrote Management Consulting in Practice (Kogan Page) and has helped write and edit several more business books
  • Paul is the co-creator with Brendan Dunphy of How To Farm Lightning, the training and consulting programme for innovators.
  • His writing has appeared in The Guardian and his drama has been produced by BBC radio

James Waller – Associate Consultant

  • James has spent most of his consulting life within the Financial Services and Automotive sectors but has also gained vast experience within Manufacturing, Outsourcing, Telecoms and the NHS
  • CIMA qualified, James is a proficient financial manager with a comprehensive knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, Major Project and Change Management, ERP system selection and implementation and Financial Management
  • He has extensive systems experience namely; SAP, Partenon, Walker, Hyperion, Oracle, IFS, SSA Baan and SUN
